Thunder Valley opener pushed back one week

Although tremendous progress has been made from where we were only three weeks ago, time and the recent weird weather has been against us as we prepare for the 2008 season.

It appears we have 3 or 4 working days ahead of us to get the track surface into race able condition. However the planned 2008 opener Saturday looms far closer than that. Add to that the predictions of more rain and cloudy weather between now and then and the numbers just do not add up in our favor.

Therefore we are going to have to push the 2008 Thunder Valley season opener back a week to May 10. With the extra week, we won't be so tight for time as we ready the track surface and continue to acquire equipment to continue the season.

Location	Thunder Valley Raceway is located in the beautiful Laurel Mountains of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The track is located outside of Central City near the intersection of state route 160 and U.S. route 30. [Refer to Directions]
Track	Promoted by Joe Padula, Thunder Valley is a half mile banked clay oval. Between April and September the speedway presents Saturday night racing programs featuring Late Models, Semi Lates, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders.
